Friday, December 5th: Christmas in the Park event at Chapman Park in downtown Lewisport, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Tree-lighting at 6 p.m., inflatables, train rides, visits with Santa and characters, food, craft market, scavenger hunt for adults and children, and opportunity to send a letter to the North Pole.

Hawesville United Methodist Christmas Bazaar
Saturday, December 6th: The Mission Minded Women from Hawesville United Methodist Church are hosting the annual Christmas Bazaar in the Connection Cafe (Fellowship Hall), 10:30 a.m. There will be chili, soup, sandwiches, desserts and drinks. They will also have baked goods for sale, and attendees can browse the “white elephant” table. Come enjoy fellowship before the Christmas parades!

Saturday, December 6th: Annual Hancock County Christmas Parades. Hawesville Parade, 1:00 p.m. (parade lineup at noon). Lewisport Parade, 4:30 p.m. (parade lineup at 3:00 p.m.). The theme is “A Christmas Story.” There will be a Toy Giveaway following the Lewisport parade.

Princess Tea Party Fundraiser
Sunday, December 7th: Princess Tea Party hosted by the HCHS Cheerleaders in the HCHS Commons Area, 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. Limited seats available. Friday, December 12th: Light up the Square Christmas on the River event in downtown at the Hawesville Town Square, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. Christmas music, photo opportunities in front of Sunny Daze Sunshine Cafe, Santa & elves with gifts, bike giveaways for multiple age groups, food trucks, local vendors, inflatables, make an ornament and hang on the Christmas tree, fireworks and tree-lighting finale.
Pancakes with Santa
Saturday, December 13th: Pancakes with Santa at the Lewisport Lions Club Community Center, 8:00 a.m.-10:00 a.m. Open to everyone at no cost, and includes pancakes, sausage, juice, coffee, children’s goodie bag and a special visit with Santa. Reservation isn’t mandatory; however, completing the reservation form on your student’s newsletter will help organizers.
Christmas with the Grinch
Saturday, December 13th: Join the HCHS Girls Softball team & the Grinch in giving back to Christmas at Vastwood Park, 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Held at the red building behind the playground at the softball field. Bring non-perishable food items or a monetary donation, and get a picture with the Grinch that will be posted on the Hancock County Lady Hornets Softball Facebook page. All donations will go to the HC Schools Backpack Program.

Sunday, December 14th: Free “Christmas of Our Own” party event hosted by Autism Advocates of Hancock County at North Hancock Elementary School, 4:00 p.m.-6:00 p.m. Santa will be there to share a special gift for each child (No age limit; people with special needs of any age are welcome to participate.
