HCMS Pep Rally & Tailgate Party
Tuesday, September 9th: **Rescheduled for September 16th** Pep Rally during the school day at HCMS, and Tailgate Party after school. Students can wear red & white. *Sign permission slip and pay $5 by Sept. 5th, for your student to stay afterschool and enjoy activities, a hotdog, chips and coke. Equip your student with extra money for the concession stand during the game, and a ride home. The game should end around 7:30 p.m.

Homemaker Cultural Arts Exhibit Entries
Friday, September 12th: Bring your item to enter in the Homemaker Cultural Arts County Exhibit to the HC Extension Office by today, before 4:00 p.m. Winners will go to the Green River Area Annual Meeting for Sept. 16. They will be judged there and winners will go on to next year’s state meeting.

The 2025/2026 VFW Voice of Democracy and Patriot’s Pen student entry deadline is Friday, October 31st, 2025. The theme is: “How are you showing patriotism and support for our country?” Voice of Democracy is the patriotic audio essay competition, and the Grand Prize is $35K. Patriot’s Pen is the patriotic written essay competition, and the Grand Prize is $5K.
