HC Chamber of Commerce Recognizes Emmick Eye Care at Monthly Breakfast

The Hancock County Chamber of Commerce held their last Chamber Breakfast for 2024 on Tuesday morning, December 10th. The Breakfast was held at the HC Career Center, and Emmick Eye Care, in Hawesville, was recognized as the Chamber Business of the Month.
Chamber Vice President Emma Mingus, owner and operator of EMazing Cupcakes & Treats in Hawesville, catered the holiday breakfast with delectable offerings, and everyone enjoyed some fun holiday games. Waupaca donated for some of the gift prizes.
The Breakfast was graciously sponsored by Ohio Valley Stump Grinding and Kraftcor Federal Credit Union. Kraftcor Federal Credit Union is located at 2960 Squirrel Tail Hollow Road, in Hawesville, and was originally founded in 1972 by a group of men that worked together at Wescor and Western Kraft paper mills. These gentlemen believed in the Credit Union movement, and wanted to start a financial institution that was owned by its members, so they applied for a federal charter on February 3rd, and were approved on February 29th of that same year, in 1972.
