Steven Wayne Finley

Steven Wayne Finley, 61 of Cloverport, Kentucky passed away June 4, 2021 at his home. He was born September 20, 1959 to the late Garfield and Lou Alice Finley in Effingham, Illinois.

Steve was a Baptist. He was a member of Cloverport Baptist Church where he served for many years as a deacon, youth minister, Sunday school teacher and a member of the church choir and church band. He loved the Lord and working with the youth of his church. He enjoyed playing guitar, singing and reading. Steve was an outdoorsman, enjoying nature and being a fisherman. He was an avid University of Kentucky Wildcats fan. Steve loved his family more than anything.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Tina Gomez (Lacy) and Summer Finley; three grandchildren, Atticus Park, Gracie Park and Tommie Jo Park; brothers, Garfield Finley, Jr. and Kenneth Finley; sister, Nita Riley (Bruce); extended family, Jim and Rita Pate and a host of other family and friends who will all miss Steve dearly.

A memorial visitation will be held Wednesday, June 9, 2021 from 4pm to 8pm at Cloverport Funeral Home. His service will be held Thursday, June 10, 2021 at 11am, also at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Cloverport Cemetery.
