A message from Senator Gary Boswell

Senator Gary Boswell announces re-election campaign for Kentucky’s 8th District
It has been the honor of a lifetime to represent the people of the 8th District in the Kentucky State Senate. I am ending any speculation and announcing that I will be seeking re-election.
The tragic assassination of Charlie Kirk and the events over the past six weeks have strengthened my resolve to stand firm for the conservative values and Christian faith that have shaped our state and our nation. In this critical moment, I feel called to continue serving and to remain a voice for our shared principles.
That is why I am seeking re-election to the 8th District Senate seat.
I want to continue pressing forward on the issues that matter most: protecting our children, lowering taxes, reducing burdensome regulations and bureaucracy, strengthening education, and cutting wasteful spending.
I am committed to making sure the 8th District receives critical funding, especially for our roads, highways and bridges. My priorities for Hancock County for roads are my continued support for improvements to Highway 60. The most pressing now is the widening of Highway 60 between Lewisport and Highway 1957, at an estimated cost of $10.5 million. My other priority is the approach to the Bob Cummings Bridge, at an estimated cost of $15.7 million.
My education priority is to secure funding for the new Hancock County Middle School. My role on the Appropriations and Revenue Committee positions me to achieve these goals, and as vice chairman of the Senate Agriculture Committee, I am proud to work with stakeholders to support our farmers.
I humbly ask for your prayers and your support as I begin this re-election journey to continue representing the citizens of Hancock, Daviess and McLean counties.
