Two Local Farmer’s Markets now available in Hancock County
Support Hancock County local growers & crafters
There are now two local Farmer’s Markets available for shoppers in Hancock County and the surrounding areas. The two are the Farmer’s Market at Vastwood Park in Hawesville and the Lewisport Farmer’s Market located at Chapman Park Pavilion in downtown Lewisport. The Vastwood Farmer’s Market opens at 7:00 a.m. on Saturdays. The Lewisport Farmer’s market began last Saturday, July 1st, and the next one is Monday, July 10th, from 5:00 p.m-7 p.m. Lewisport’s Farmer’s Market offers these later hours as a convenience for folks who don’t like to get up early.

Vegetables in demand- Three generations came together to sell Garden Vegetables and Crochet Scrunchies at the Lewisport Farmers’ Market. Kylie Huff, Samantha Huff, Karsyn Harris, Stacy Oliver, Megan Harris and Miles Harris set up a booth at Saturday’s market. Planning to be there again for next time too.
Set-up for both markets is absolutely FREE.
Be sure to make the rounds and participate in both markets! Supporting local growers and crafters is important to the community. Bring in your wares to sell as well. Maybe you’ll even find some early Christmas presents, and they’ll be purchased from a local friend who handmade them with love.

Megan Simpson and her two helpers display some of the homegrown vegetables for sale at the Lewisport Farmers’s Market Saturday, July 1.
