Independence Bank Sorghum Festival; biggest yet!

“This year’s Independence Bank Sorghum Festival was our biggest yet! Thanks to the generosity of the Hancock County  community, we were able to raise $997 through our t-shirt sells for the Hancock County Schools Backpack Program.

In addition to these dollars, we received food donations from local businesses and patrons of the festival— estimated value of $2,500!

On behalf of Independence Bank I would like to thank everyone for making the 2022 Sorghum Festival our best yet. It’s humbling to witness the generosity we saw this weekend. Thank you.” – President Wade Gaynor

The Independence Bank team above includes L-R: Wade Gaynor, Andrea Pritchard, Ashlie Carwile, Larry Hedden, Sheila Hayden, Missy Noble, Amy Severs, Karen Colbert, Kim Maysey, Hannah Helm, Kim Harper and Kelly Tyler.

Brody Cox along with his father, Bill and friend, Tony Adkins, they all made sure the sorghum cooking demonstration was another big success!
