Mallory Miller – New CEO at Kraftcor Federal Credit Union

Mallory Miller

The new CEO at Kraftcor Federal Credit Union in Hawesville, Mallory Miller, is in charge of maintaining daily operations of the credit union and overseeing the employees, all of whom, she says, are “great.”
“I am very excited to be a member of the Kraftcor Credit Union family. I feel like they’ve welcomed me with open arms, and it was really easy to fit in here. That makes it easier when it comes to a new position. Personally, I truly believe in the credit union way of life, of people helping people. I look forward to the challenge of sharing this knowledge within Hancock County and surrounding communities,” Mallory said.
The position became available when Shanna Nugent, the previous CEO, resigned. David Emmick, Chairman of the Kraftcor Federal Credit Union, commented, “We hired Mallory, and she’s very capable. We did a search, and she was the best candidate we could find. In today’s job market it’s kind of tough to find a very qualified person, and we’re fortunate to have found her. This is Mallory’s first time as a CEO, and she’s doing fine. She’s been training for over a month already, and I think she’s going to be excellent in this position. It was a Board decision. We all voted, and made the decision together. There were several of us that interviewed her, and she was an excellent candidate.”
Mallory says that she is “very confident” in her ability to bring new ideas and problem solving skills into action. “I believe that I’m a good fit for the position for a number of reasons, but most specifically because of my dedication to going above and beyond in a job. I am committed to my education in this ever-advancing industry. I look forward to the challenges of the position.”
Mallory was Bookkeeper for Green River Credit Union in Owensboro for 13 years, prior to her new position.
“The credit union is not just strictly for Domtar employees; most of our board and members are made up of Domtar employees. However, anyone who lives, works, or worships in Hancock County can be a member at the Kraftcor,” David added.
