Christmas in the Park
The library invites you to an evening filled with Christmas cheer!

On Friday, December 3rd, from 6-8 pm, downtown Lewisport will be hosting Christmas in the Park. Join us at 6 pm for the tree lighting and at 6:30 pm, Santa Claus will be making his big arrival! Be sure to bring your appetite as local vendors will be serving soups, tacos, pizza by the slice, and other goodies. Activities include a live nativity, free cookies and hot chocolate, a meet and greet photo opportunity with “Belle”, “Cinderella”, and “Batman” characters, and more! If you’re interested in getting started (or finishing up) on your holiday shopping, be sure to stop by the Christmas Market and visit our talented vendors. Last, but certainly not least, don’t forget to bring your edible ornament to decorate the live tree!

Amnesty Month
During the month of November, all charges will be erased for each long overdue item returned in usable condition. No matter the length of time you’ve had the item, as long as it is still in good condition, charges will be waived for the item. All you need to do is return the item to the Hawesville or Lewisport circulation desk or the Bookmobile, so we can be sure it is linked to your account. It’s that easy! What if I’ve already returned my item and now I have charges on my account? We are accepting donations of canned food items to help with those charges too. Up to $5 for each canned food item donated will be waived. Refunds and/or credits will not be issued. Canned food items will be donated to our local food pantries.

If that lost book or those charges have been keeping you from using our services, we hope to see you again soon!
