Accident east of Lewisport

An accident east of Lewisport damaged two vehicles, but the drivers escaped injury. The accident happened on August 10 at roughly 6 p.m. Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Hendrick filed the accident report.

Kimberly A. Fullenwider of Hawesville went to pull onto westbound U.S. 60 approximately one-mile east of Lewisport from a crossover road and failed to see an approaching vehicle. Fullenwider pulled out in her 2008 Chevrolet Equinox and hit a westbound 2010 Toyota Camry driven by Luz M. Torres of Owensboro.

Fullenwider’s Equinox sustained moderate damage, but did not require a tow. Torres’                                                                                                             vehicle sustained moderate to severe damage, but it also did not require a tow.
