Camp Vastwood, first swimmers

The rain held off the first day of Camp Vastwood on Monday, so campers weren’t able to swim until later. When they were able to swim, for most of them it was the first time they had ever swim in something other than a pool.

The beautiful weather made it enjoyable for members to spend the week at beautiful Vastwood Park.

Above, Marty Williams lines up campers to take their swim test.  This is required at Camp Vastwood for all swimmers to be able to go into deeper water and to the dock in Vastwood lake.

No head first dives are allowed from the dock at Vastwood.
