Two vehicles sustained damage in an accident south of Hawesville

Two vehicles sustained damage in an accident south of Hawesville on October 20. The accident happened at 7 p.m. Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Aaron Emmick filed the accident report.

Christopher Decker, of Hawesville, went to back his 2000 Chevrolet Blazer during a rainstorm, and did not see a 2006 Chevrolet Aveo parked at 1730 state Route 69, 1.5 miles south of Hawesville. Decker backed into the side of the vehicle, which is owned by Agnes Curry.

The Aveo sustained moderate damage to the driver’s side. The Blazer sustained minor to moderate damage to its driver’s side as well. Neither vehicle required a tow.
