The Hawesville man who fled from police and caused the wreck that killed an 18-year-old Lawrenceburg girl is being held without bond and facing a pending murder charge, but his passenger, who was seriously injured, says she pleaded with him to stop.

David Earl Henderson, 30, fled from Mercer County officers who tried to stop him for erratic driving, but Rachel Webb, who was riding with Henderson, posted online that she tried to get him to stop before the Anderson County crash that killed 18-year-old Jill Tyler Hurst.
