Head on collision – No one injured
A two-vehicle accident on state Route 271 by Windward Heights Apartments damaged two vehicles, but the drivers did not suffer injury. The accident happened on February 7 at roughly 3 p.m. Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Hendrick filed the accident report.

Ambris M. Lambert, of Hawesville, pulled her 2012 Nissan Altima from the driveway to Windward Heights Apartments to go north on state Route 271. When Lambert pulled out, she failed to see a southbound 1991 GMC pickup driven by Christopher J. Pate of Lewisport, and pulled out into his path and struck the front portion of his pickup.

Pate’s truck sustained severe damage. Lambert’s car sustained very severe damage. Wreckers from Bob’s Garage removed the vehicles from the scene.
