Hancock County Schools and student-related Events
Congratulations! The Hancock County 4H team won the Team Challenge Camp in Dawson Springs! The traveling trophy was brought home by HCMS students: Henry Proctor, Callie Kessinger and Bella Kessans. HCHS student, Preston Blanton, assisted during the day.
September 19 – September 23 North Hancock Elementary School invited grandparents in to eat lunch and enjoy the Scholastic Book Fair all week with their grandchildren. “We look forward to seeing all of our grandparents! Thanks again for all you do!”- Principal Moore.
Tuesday, September 20 was Daddies, Daughters and ‘Do’s workshop helping dads in the community learn simple hairstyles for their daughters. Each participant received a take-home kit with supplies to recreate hairstyles learned during the workshop.
Thursday, September 22: monthly Hancock County Board of Education Meeting at 5:30 p.m. and HCMS Archery Practice at 6:00 p.m.
Saturday, September 24: HCHS Band Competition and HCMS Cross Country Meet in Tell City.
Monday, September 26 from 11:25-1:15 HCHS Seniors will have the opportunity to order graduation supplies and HCHS Sophomores will have the opportunity to order class rings from 11:25-1:15 at the high school.
South Hancock Elementary School is having their Scholastic Book Fair the week of September 26-30.
Tuesday, September 27 at 5:30: HCMS Football Game at Grayson.
Wednesday, September 28: HCHS Annual Powder Puff Game.
Friday, September 30: HCHS Homecoming. The Football Game is at 7:00 p.m. and the Homecoming Dance is from 8:30-11:00 p.m.
Saturday, October 1: HCHS Band Competition at Warren Central.
Monday, October 3: HCHS Senior Portrait Day and Volleyball Game at Muhlenberg.
Tuesday, October 4: ACT testing day at HCHS (free for seniors) and Family Game Night at the Hawesville Branch of the Hancock County Libraries from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Register to win a Family Game Night Basket! Call to reserve your spot: 270-927-6760.
