Hancock school board approved insurance bid

A small agenda greeted members of the Hancock County Board of Education at its board meeting on June 24. The board awarded its insurance to EM Ford and Company out of Owensboro. The premium totaled $188,517.

Custodial bid
The board approved the low bids on the various items that comprised the custodial bid. Superintendent Kyle Estes said the custodial bid consisted of items such as sprays, cleaners and other items.

Fall Sports
The board approved the low bids on the items that comprised the Fall Sports bids. Estes said the bid consisted of basketballs, footballs and other items.

Treasurer’s report
Beginning balance $5,482,736.
Expenses $1,066,969.
Receipts $1,175,326.
Ending balance $5,662,704

The June meeting was the last for Hancock County Board of Education Superintendent Kyle Estes. He resigned earlier this year to move to Alaska to join his wife.
