Trucks clip mirrors
Two trucks clipped mirrors on state Route 657. The accident happened on December 8 at roughly 8 a.m. Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Aaron Emmick filed the accident report.
Fito C. Misael, of Tampa, Florida, was driving a 2020 Freightliner south on state Route 657, three miles south of Lewisport, when he encountered a northbound 2014 International Workstar driven by Paul K. House, of Hawesville. Due to the road being narrow, neither vehicle could move over far enough from the centerline to prevent their mirrors from clipping as they passed each other.
Both trucks sustained minor damage. Neither vehicle required a tow.
Pickup trucks clip mirrors
Two pickup trucks clipped mirrors on Park Road. The accident happened on December 6 at roughly 5:15 p.m. Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Hendrick filed the accident report.
Ricky S. Grant, of Hawesville, told Hendrick as he drove his 2003 Dodge Ram pickup east on Park Road, three miles south of Hawesville, he encountered a 2015 Ram 1500 pickup driven by Michael R. Axton of Hawesville traveling west on Park Road.
Grant says Axton was on the centerline as they approached. Axton says Grant was way over the centerline, and he got off of the road as far as he could. The two vehicles clipped mirrors in passing.
Both vehicles sustained minor damage. Neither vehicle required a tow.
