After a long career as an electrical engineer, Larry White is eschewing electricity for an invention that he hopes can revolutionize the treatment for high blood pressure.

White, who has spent the last several years of his retirement as a tinkerer and an idea gatherer, is moving forward on an invention that he said offers a simple solution to a widespread medical problem.
