December 22nd-January 2nd: Christmas Break at Hancock County Schools. HCHS office hours are 9 a.m.-2 p.m., and closed Dec. 24th, 25th, 26th, and Jan. 1st.

Trade Academy Scholarships Award Deadline
Tuesday, December 30th: Trade Academy Scholarships Award Deadline. 20 awards available. The Housecall Pro Next Generation HVAC, Plumbing and Electrical Scholarship Program is open to ages 16 and older. Party Registration Deadline

Wednesday, December 31st: Today is the last day to change party registration before Kentucky’s May 19, 2026, closed primary election. Voters must be registered with their chosen party by this date to participate in that party’s primary.

HCPS Foundation Casino Night Fundraiser
Saturday, February 14th: Hancock County Public Schools Foundation Casino Night Fundraiser at the Lewisport Community Center, 6:00 p.m. -9:30 p.m. For couples, besties or solo high rollers! $50 General Tickets per person, and $80 VIP Tickets. Free playing chips, dinner, photobooth and music included with each ticket price. Chips traded for raffle tickets at end of evening to win prizes.  Seeking sponsors and prize donations from individuals and local businesses.
