United Way Diamond Celebration – Artist Call Deadline is April 30th
United Way of the Ohio Valley (UWOV) is hosting The Diamond Celebration to celebrate 75 years of Caring. The event will be held at the River Park Center in Owensboro on Friday, August 23rd and will begin at 6 p.m.
Barrels of HeART – Artist Call
Barrels of HeART will return for this event, and was adopted last year from Louisville-based, non-profit Bourbon With HeART. UWOV will have 14 bourbon barrels to be painted and sponsored. They are actively looking for artists who are interested in painting one of the unique bourbon barrels for this event. Artists can apply by April 30th, at: uwov.org/barrels-of-heart/.
There will be a special-invite VIP Happy Hour starting at 5 p.m. The Diamond Celebration will be a night of celebration, appreciation, achievement awards and recognition of everyone and everything that has made UWOV continue to be a pillar of the community for many years. There will also be live music, a cash bar and the unveiling of the locally painted bourbon barrels.
Speaker Bracken Darrell
The event will feature keynote speaker Bracken Darrell, Owensboro native and President & CEO of VF Company, which produces popular brands like Vans, North Face and Timberland. Darrell has more than 30 years of experience in business leadership and brand management with global consumer companies.
UWOV Director of Resource Development & Marketing Savannah Daniels said, “We want everyone who has been involved with United Way in any fashion – donors, CEOs, volunteers and non-profit employees to attend the Diamond Celebration, and anyone who wants to learn or connect more with United Way to come and see what we’re all about! This is to honor all people who helped United Way make a difference and grow in our old and new relationships.”
Tickets On Sale May 31st through UWOV
Tickets are $75 in honor of the 75th anniversary and will go on sale May 31st. You can purchase your tickets at UWOV.org or at the UWOV Office located at 403 Park Plaza Dr. in Owensboro.
