Lewisport Baptist holds “live nativity scenes” over Christmas season

Lewisport Baptist Church is holding a live nativity over the Christmas season, and it consists of five different scenes. The nativity scenes follow a chronological pattern of the Christmas story.

The first scene is from Micah 5:2 which prophesizes the Messiah being born in Bethlehem. The next is from Luke 1:31 in which an angel appears to Mary and tells her she is going to bear the Messiah and to name him Jesus.

Another scene is where an angel appears to Joseph and tells him it is okay for him to take Mary as his wife. The manger scene is where the wise men come to baby Jesus and bring him various gifts in honor of his holy birth.

The final scene is from Luke 2:10-12 where angels appear to the shepherds late at night announcing Jesus’ birth in Bethlehem.
