Single truck Accident

On 12-17-2023 at around 10 a.m., Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Hendrick reported that Donna R. Little, of Fordsville, ran off of the slippery roadway into a ditch when she had been traveling east in her 2006 Chevy Colorado pickup truck, 6 miles south of the City of Hawesville on 3757 KY 69. The truck began to flip over from the ditch and then struck a pole, and continued to roll over and came to rest in the tree line. Hendricks broke the sunroof to remove Ms. Little. First Aid was not needed. The truck had severe damage and was towed by Bob’s Garage.

 

Truck Overturned

On 12-17-2023 at around 1:40 p.m., Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Hendrick reported that Dylan D. Morris, of Reynolds Station, was traveling west on Hwy 60 when for unknown reasons started going off of the right side of the roadway. Once off the roadway, around 2 miles east of the City of Lewisport, Morris’s F150 Series Ford, with passenger Bethany Morris, traveled into a ditch and into a drain tile area causing the truck to overturn, come out of the drain tile area and come to rest on top in the roadway. First Aid was administered on scene by Hancock County EMS. The truck had severe damage and was towed by Bob’s Garage.

 

Chrysler slid into Ditch

On 12-25-2023, Eli O. Claise, of Tell City, and passenger, Timothy D. Lemke, of La Crosse, WI, were traveling in a 2015 Chrysler, 300 Series on 9637 KY 69, 9 miles south of the City of Hawesville. At around 7:39 p.m., Hancock County Sheriff’s Deputy Jeff Hendrick reported that they had slowed to turn into a business parking lot and did not see the ditch due to very foggy conditions. The Chrysler went into a ditch causing damage to the under carriage as well as the front passenger area bumper, air dam, and possible wheel brakes suspension. There was no need for a tow, the vehicle received only minor damages. No injuries were reported.
