Mrs. Charley Robertson celebrated her 102nd Birthday on Wednesday, December 5th at One Park Place in Owensboro, along with about 50 family members and friends.

“She was just beside herself,” Charley’s daughter, Lynn Pate, said. “She was like a kid and just as happy as she could be.”

Before the birthday celebration, Charley enjoyed lunch with her 2 sisters, Sarah Richardson, from Greenville, KY, and Minnie Lou Covington, from Owensboro. “Mom is the oldest of eight, and 2 of her sisters are still living. We had them come and have lunch with her so they could spend a little quality time together,” Lynn said.

Charlesann “Charley” Robertson and her late husband, Warren Robards, moved to Lewisport from Tennessee in 1972. He was pastor at Lewisport Baptist Church for 13 years. She was a Sunday school teacher for 75 years, at Lewisport Baptist and at Chestnut Grove. She has made a very positive impact on many people, and served her community well.

Charley moved to assisted living at One Park Place a couple of years ago. She loves having visitors, so please reach out to one of her family members if you’d like to visit with her.
