Harper Tree Farm has Fraser Fir Christmas trees

Harper Tree Farm, located in Derby, Indiana, is open for the 2023 Christmas season! It is a family-owned business, and the drive to pick up your tree is guaranteed to be a scenic adventure, as it is a beautiful 100-acre farm in the heart of the Hoosier National Forest.

Another Fraser Christmas tree is on its way to a home

“My father (Prentice Harper) bought this property in 1950 from Henry Meyers Whittle,” owner Jon Harper said. “He started selling Christmas trees here in the 70s. At one time he had 25,000 scotch and white pines. We can’t sell those like we used to. Everybody wants a Fraser fir. We import them from North Carolina so that people can have the kind of tree they want. They smell great, they are clean, and they’re just a perfect Christmas tree.”

You have the choice of wandering the hills of the Harper property to select your tree, or choosing from the conveniently located pre-cut varieties.

The pricing for their Christmas trees begins at $59 and goes up to $109, depending on the size. They are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for the holiday season, and the phone number is: (812) 836-2726.
