Building for America’s Bravest
What is Building for America’s Bravest?
Building for America’s Bravest is a program of the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation that builds smart homes for our nation’s most catastrophically injured service members returning home. The Tunnel to Towers Foundation is a non-profit that operates to support our nation’s veterans.
Since 9/11, Tunnel of Towers has been helping America’s heroes by providing mortgage-free homes to Gold Star and fallen first responder families with young children by building specially-adapted smart homes for catastrophically injured veterans and first responders.
Each home is custom designed to address the unique needs of each individual.
Energy efficient, automated, and easily accessible, these homes use “adaptive technology” to help our most severely injured heroes live better, more independent lives.
The waiting list is long.
But as amazing as adaptive home technology is, it’s far beyond the reach of most veterans and their modest pensions. The waiting list is long. This program is a call to action. After all when the call came, these brave service members responded. They made extraordinary sacrifices.
Carpet One in Owensboro, Kentucky, donates floor coverings for the new specially-adapted smart homes. “We are proud to be among the top contributors to this initiative that is part of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation” said Carpet One owner, Mark Hayden.
Help the people who have fought for this county.
Through the month of November, Carpet One will be collecting $10+ donations from customers in store.
All proceeds will be sent to this program that has built over 1000 mortgage-free homes for critically injured veterans. The Owensboro store also offers a 5% discount to Veterans year-round.
Tunnel of Towers is committed to eradicating veteran homelessness and helping America to Never Forget September 11, 2001. For questions about “Building for America’s Brave”, please contact Carpet One at (270) 685-5735 or visit us at 700 Salem Dr, Owensboro, KY 42303.
