Central Baptist Operation Inasmuch searching for volunteers

Central Baptist Church in Hawesville is having a Project Day for Operation Inasmuch United of Hancock County

on Saturday, October 7th. All volunteers are welcome!

Everyone will meet at 7 a.m. at Central Baptist Church Fellowship Hall. A breakfast will be provided and volunteers will head-out to work at around 7:45 a.m.

“Project teams will go out from the church to help those who are elderly, disabled, or in need, to do some projects on their homes – repair of a deck, repair of something on their home that they just need some help doing, yard cleaning and anything that would be a helping hand for them, and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and for His Glory,” Pastor Brian Adkins of Central Baptist Church said.

If you need some help or know someone who does, please call the church phone at 270-927-8465, or call/text Brother Adkins at 270-922-0516. Volunteers will go and look to see if the project is something they will be able to help with. Citizens of Hancock County and Perry County are eligible.

Operation Inasmuch United of Hancock County works hand-in-hand with Hancock Repair Affair and GRADD.

They help with some of the costs and Central Baptist Church supplies the labor and some of the costs as well. Brother Adkins extends a thank you to all of the churches and volunteers in the community that help with Operation Inasmuch United and all those who donate.

This is a ministry to give a helping hand to those who are truly in need of assistance, even if it is something as simple as changing lightbulbs, etc. If you have been thinking of volunteering, this would be a great opportunity to do so!

They have built six wheel chair ramps so far this year, and Brother Adkins said they hope to have some younger volunteers to help them spray those with a coat of weatherproofing sealant on this project day as well.

The theme ‘Operation Inasmuch’ comes from Matthew 25:40 – “Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”

Central Baptist Church is located at 25 State Rte. 3543 in Hawesville.
