Benefit Dinner for Alvin Goatley; May 6th at Vastwood Park beach house

A Benefit Dinner for Alvin Goatley will be held at Vastwood Park beach house on Saturday, May 6th, from 4:00-7:00 p.m. The dinner includes: chicken, pulled pork, sides and desserts. There is no price for the meal. Donations will be accepted.

As many of you know, Alvin has been battling cancer. He has been through many treatments, and continues to battle. Unfortunately, the cancer has continued to spread and mutate, and now he is fighting several types of cancer at the same time. His doctors are doing all they can, but they have decided to send him to Nashville for some experimental treatments.

Alvin is loved by so many in Hancock County. “We will never stop hoping for a miracle,” his wife, Rita, said.  Alvin & Rita Goatley, of Hawesville, are blessed with 2 children, and 2 grandchildren. Rita works at the Hancock County Farm Store.
