HCHS boys tennis team beat Union 3-2

The HCHS boys tennis team took a 3-2 win over Union County during a match played at Vastwood Park, March 28.
Preston Blanton dropped his #1 singles match 2-8 to Kaleb Rust and Caleb Ewing lost 1-8 to JJ Raney. After that it was all Hancock County as the boys doubles teams won three straight matches to take the win.
Lukas Anderson and Alex Madden won 8-4 over Raney and Lucas Rickets. Jaxson Morris and Christopher Zablocki won 8-0 over Evan Russelberg and Rilan Owen. Tremar London and Mikey Whitefeather won 8-4 in the final match.
Chloe White went to a tie breaker before losing her #1 singles match to Tristen Thompson. The final score was 8-8 (5-7). Kiley Clark fell 3-8 to Abby Driesbach. White and Haylee Lanum fell 2-8 to Aubrey Strab and Alison Diebler.
Breck County
The Hancock County boys team won 3-2 over Breckinridge County here on 3-27. Anderson lost 4-8 to Shelton Smith while Blanton won 8-5 over Roman St. Clair. Zablocki won 8-5 over Landen Critchelow.
Ewing and Whitefeather fell 2-8 to Critchelow and Braydon Garrett in doubles. Madden and Morris won 8-1 over Aaron Drane and Wesley Horsley. White lost 2-8 to Makayla Ball and Clark fell 0-8 to Gia Barretto. White and Lanum lost 1-8 to Madeline Taul and Amelia Reed.
Owensboro
The Hornets boys fell 2-4 to Owensboro High School at the park last Thursday. Blanton fell 1-8 to Walker Gaddis, Madden fell 0-8 to John Clay Ford, Whitefeather lost 2-8 to Jeremy Gilliam. London won his singles match 8-2 over Khoa Ta.
Morris and London also won in doubles, taking an 8-2 decision over Gilliam and Ta. Ewing and Zablocki lost 0-8 to Ford and Gaddis.
The HCHS girls failed to win a game. White, Clark and the same doubles team fell 0-8 in their respective matches.
