Drug Bust in Lewisport at Poplar Grove Apartments
Drug Bust
On the night of Monday, March 27th, a drug bust was made in Lewisport by Kentucky State Police, Post 4 (KSP Post 4-Elizabethtown). Officer Richiling arrested Daniel W. Durbin (24) and Courtney P. Lyons (26), at Poplar Grove Apartments.

KY State Troopers were looking for Lyons and Durbin, because they had warrants for their arrest. Troopers received information that the two were at Poplar Grove Apartments in Lewisport. They knocked on the door and a third party answered. Troopers learned that Lyons was inside the residence. They located and arrested her.
At that time, Durbin was in the back room of the apartment and was observed exiting the residence as troopers entered the building. Durbin, initially, provided false information to the troopers there, identifying himself as someone else. Two small children were in the living room when troopers arrived. They were taken by Child Protective Services that night, as reported by KSP Post 4.
Lyons was arrested
Lyons was arrested, at 8:50 p.m. Charges are: Trafficking Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense, greater than 2 grams of Methamphetamine; Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces), 1st Offense; Endangering the Welfare of a Minor; and Failure to Appear in Court. She is confined in Breckinridge County Detention Center, and was booked on the same day, between the hours of 11-12 p.m.
Durbin was arrested
Durbin was arrested shortly after Lyons. Charges are: Trafficking Controlled Substance, 1st Degree, 1st Offense, greater than 2 grams of Methamphetamine; Wanton Endangerment, 1st Degree; Possession of a Handgun by a Convicted Felon; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia; Giving Officer False Identifying Information; Theft of Identity of Another Without Their Consent; Trafficking in Marijuana (less than 8 ounces), 1st Offense; and Serving Parole Violation Warrant. He is confined in Breckinridge County Detention Center, and was booked at 12:56 a.m. on Tuesday, March 28th.
I live in this small community and it has in the last year and a half gone from Mayberry to being more like west Louisville the crime in this area is out of control I’m very sad to say i moved here to get away from all of that i dont Belinda enough is boung done about it
