Middle school Hornets win big at Ohio County

Hancock County scored twice in the first quarter on 10-yard touchdown runs by Dylan Mucker and Brady Eubanks. Eubanks scored again in the second period when he broke free from seven yards out, and Kyle Anderson added a 5-yard TD for the Hornets.

Eubanks scored his third TD of the game on a 1-yard plunge in the third quarter. Anderson completed the scoring for HCMS with another 5-yard TD.
“We looked really fast and aggressive,” Hornets coach Jeff Kessans said.
Ohio County’s lone score was a 73-yard kick return in the first quarter.
Dylan Yanez scored two 2-point conversions for HCMS. Mucker scored one and Landon Hendricks caught a conversion pass from Tyce Boling.

Seventh grade wins
The 7th grade Hornets won 8-6 in Tuesday’s early game at Ohio County.
Leland Wilson scored on a 60-yard bomb thrown by Nolan Maxwell, and Grant Smith scored the 2-point conversion for HCMS.
“This was a big win. Over half the team has either never played a game or not in the past two years. Our coaches, Steve Lyday, Jake Schwindel, Jon McCormick and Kirk Shearn, do a great job,” Kessans said.
