Bing Crosby Adams, 79, of San Diego, CA, passed away on November 7, 2021 after succumbing to Parkinson’s disease and related Lewy body dementia.
Bing was born on March 25, 1942 to Willie C. and Georgia Ella Adams in Hancock County, KY.
He graduated with honors from one of the first integrated high schools in the area. Bing enlisted in the Navy in July, 1960 where he served his country for 20 years and attained the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Bing continued to support the military as a civil servant and concluded his career at MCAS Miramar.
Bing met his lifelong partner Violeta while stationed in the Philippines where they were married in November, 1963. Bing and Violeta moved to San Diego in 1968 where they raised their three children. Bing enjoyed coaching his sons’ baseball teams and taking his family fishing. He also loved betting on horse racing and tending to his beloved roses.
Bing is survived by his spouse Violeta, his daughter Maria Dolor; son Michael [Lupe]; son Jason; grandchildren Maya-Tionne, Walker, Stephen, Sasha, Steve, Rachel [Kerry], Robin [Nicole], Jaden, and Shelby; and his siblings Benjamin [Gloria] and Norman [Karla]. He is also survived by additional family members and friends.
Bing was predeceased by his parents Willie and Georgia, brothers Willie Jr. and David, and sister Rebecca.
Visitation will be held at El Camino Mortuary on December 1, 2021 from 4 pm—8 pm. Services will be held at Holy Family Parish on December 2, 2021 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at El Camino Mortuary following the services.
