4th of July Celebration at Vastwood Park Sunday

After a one-year hiatus due to the coronavirus, the annual Hancock County 4th of July celebration takes place this Sunday at Vastwood Park. The day’s activities include inflatables for the kids, a variety of food booths, musical acts and, of course, a fireworks show!

The musical entertainment starts at 5:30 p.m. when Kentucky Shine takes the stage. The band plays Bluegrass music, and is highly regarded for their musical ability. At 7:30 p.m.

Audra McLaughlin takes the stage. She gained fame after appearing on season six of the hit NBC series The Voice, and sings country music.

When her show concludes, the fireworks show starts. The fireworks are sponsored by Hancock County Fiscal Court, and the company Pyro Shows will conduct the show.

Like normal, starting at 5 p.m., traffic through Vastwood Park becomes one-way with traffic entering from the U.S. Hwy 60 entrance, and exiting on Park Road.
