Hancock County Real Estate & Auction’s Surplus Auction on May 8th at HC Fairgrounds
Hancock County Real Estate & Auction, in Hawesville on Main Street, will be holding a Surplus Auction on May 8th at the Hancock County Fairgrounds. The auction will begin at 10 a.m. Central Time.

Kathy Gooch says that “auctions are fun, so come out and get a good deal!” Now that Covid is winding down, it is a good way to get out and get some fresh air. The weather should be nice, but everything will be covered under the pavillion if it isn’t. There will be someone there providing concessions for the event as well.

Sellers at the auction will be: Hancock County Fiscal Court, Hancock County Board of Education and Hancock County Public Library.

Tractors, trucks, buses, and miscellaneous items will be auctioned. Tim Gooch will be the Principal Auctioneer. Tim says that there will be such items as: library tables, chairs, 2 sets of washer/dryers, filing cabinets, weight room equipment, tarps, several pickup trucks and vehicles that run for a low price that can be used for farm or recreation, mowers, one tractor that has a boom mower on it, a big dump truck, a Kawasaki side-by-side ATV, a generator, and concrete forms & hardware for contractors.

The announcements made from the auction block will take precedence over printed material. Cash or good checks will be accepted on the day of sale. No credit cards will be accepted.
There is plenty of parking space available for the event.
