Planning and zoning produces financials before Sept 9 meeting with county, cities

After public questions about how the Hancock County Urban Planning Commission is supposed to be funded and where its money is spent, representatives from the commission came to the Hancock Clarion office to provide answers.

Board chairman Tim Cecil and vice-chairman Tommy Hunt came to Hawesville Monday afternoon armed with the commission’s bylaws and with financial reports from the past 18 months, which the mayors of both Lewisport and Hawesville had publicly said had never been available to them.
