Voters pick party winners; turnout high for area

While voter turnout in surrounding counties was unexpectedly low for Tuesday’s primary election, Hancock County stood as a veritable paragon of participation with 31 percent of its registered voters casting ballots, more than 10 full percentage points higher than neighboring Daviess County and roughly five more than Ohio and Breckinridge counties.
