The long saga of the Luke Mercer Bridge might be coming to a merciful end soon, as the current contractor on the bridge replacement project says it will begin work at the site any day now.
Do-All Construction, out of Caneyville, is set to begin work on the small bridge on Luke Mercer Road, which was first torn out in August 2016 for what was supposed to be a quick replacement, as soon as weather allows. The road has been impassable for 21 months.
