Joyce (Fuchs) Stephens

Joyce (Fuchs) Stephens, 87, of Owensboro, Kentucky passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the Heartford House under  the care of Hospice of Western Kentucky. She was born December 28, 1930 in Hancock County to the late Mary Lee Stevens Fuchs  and William H. Fuchs. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death  by her husband, Joe F. Stephens, brothers; Glenward, Curtis, and Russell Fuchs, a sister, Evadyne Stephens and husband Harold, and a nephew; Steve Fuchs. She was a member of Walnut Memorial Baptist Church. She was a homemaker who enjoyed crafts, sewing, camping, fishing, and most importantly spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her sons; Waymon William Stephens and Daryl Alan Stephens,  two daughters; Angela Rene Weaver (Robert David) and Vicki Jo Barker (Gary Wayne), 3 grandchildren; Ashley Mae Bowlds (Chris), Aaron Weaver (Amanda), and Andy Weaver (fiancé Katelyn Wheatley),a great grandchild Amelia Jo Bowlds, nephew; Barry Stephens, and 2 nieces; Connie Stephens and Joy Hobbs Miller.

Services are at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at James H. Davis Funeral Home. Visitation is 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Owensboro Memorial Gardens.
