New sales tax will hit Vastwood, country club

By Dave Taylor

In an effort to raise more revenue for state coffers, legislators have voted to add sales tax on certain services, which will not just impact local businesses but will affect things like camping at Vastwood Park and golfing at Windward Heights Country Club.

House Bill 366 adds sales tax to 17 new services, which will mean that bills for auto repairs, pet grooming, and even tanning will cost more, but it will also add a tax to campsites and golf memberships.
