Family admits to coloring ice

Last week, when temperatures were tolerable and before the county’s roadsides were littered with abandoned cars, stress-free drivers along Highway 60 noticed a curious splash of color among the ice clinging to a rock face. Some wondered if chemicals were leaching from the ground. Others thought it was some kind of colorful prank. One family, however, had the answer.
