James Edward Conner, 93, of Lewisport, left his family and friends to go to
his heavenly home on Wednesday, October 22, 2008. He was born April 16,
1915, son of the late Henry Edgar and Louvina Coon Conner.  He was preceded
in death by his late wife, Ella Bartlett; son, Otis Conner Sr.; sister Nina
Bea Critchloe; and grandsons, Michael Conner and Ernie Masterson Jr.

Survivors include two sons, Miley Edward (Emma) Conner and John Wesley
(Shirley) Conner; two daughters, Edna (Ernie) Masterson and Gracie (Leo)
Masterson; a brother, Claude Conner; his caregiver, granddaughter, Jeannie
Tindle and grandson, Miley Conner; 23 grandchildren, Gary, Miley, Jeannie,
Sheila, Lorie, Terri, Carl, Joey, Randy, Sherri, Larry, Debbie, Cookie, Tom,
Brenda, Tammy, Michael, Otis Jr., Johnny, Stacy, Sheila, Tony and Roger; 25
great-grandchildren, Sean, Justin, Josh, Danny, Emily, Sarah, Megan, Kaylee,
Caleb, Dylan, Austin, Kyle, Leslie, E.J., Christina, Brandy, Shannon, Phil,
Charlie, Audie, Justin. Nikkie, Jenna, Katie and Adam; and five
great-great-grandchildren, Wyatt, Brandon.

Services were October 25 at Taylor-Wood Funeral Home with Bro. Bob White
officiating. Burial was in Lewisport City Cemetery. Contributions may be
sent to Lewisport Baptist Church.
