Russell E. Boling

Russell E. Boling, 85, of Owensboro, died Saturday, July 19, 2008, at
Owensboro Medical Health Systems. He was born February 6, 1923 in Hancock
County, son of the late Claude and Leva (Richards) Boling. He was a Veteran
of World War II having served in the 247th combat engineers. He was retired
from Wickes Lumber, and was a member and deacon emeritus of Third Baptist
Church. He was a Master Mason for 62 years and was a member of the Masonic
Lodge F & AM #130. He was preceded in death by a son, Michael W. Boling, and
four brothers, Milner, Richard, Claude Jr. and Ralph Boling, and two
sisters, Ruby Griffin and Rayonette Voyles.

Survivors include his wife of 65 years, Norma Jean Boling; one son, Ronald
E. Boling and his wife, Margie of Baton Rouge, LA; a daughter-in-law,
Charlotte Boling of Beaumont, TX; two granddaughters, Ann Conley Boling of
Richmond, KY and Beth Belden (Shayne) of Lexington, KY; two grandsons, R.
Brent Boling of London, KY and Bryan (Sarah) Boling of Lexington, KY; two
step granddaughters, Dana (Wade) Gilbert of Wilson, LA, and Renee (John)
Francher of Dallas, TX; four great-grandchildren, Elise and Evan Boling and
Bella Belden and Calib Michael Boling; and several nieces and nephews.

Services were Tuesday at James H. Davis Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in
Rosehill Cemetery. The family requests that expressions of sympathy may take
the form of donations to Third Baptist Church Building Fund, 527 Allen St.,
Owensboro, KY 42303.
