Herman J. Veach Sr.

Herman J. Veach, Sr., 74, of Hawesville, died Saturday, July 19 at his home
with his family at his side. Herman was born on August 3, 1933 in Hancock
County, son of the late Martin and Lillian Pryor Veach. Herman was a member
at Pellville Baptist Church and worked at Cannelton Sewer Pipe for 13 years,
retired from Willamette after 27 years and was a veteran of the United
States Army.

Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Juanita Kratzer Veach; four sons,
Herman Veach, Jr. (Sherri), Dennis Veach (Maika), Martin Veach (Amy) and
Aaron Veach (Michelle) all of Hawesville; eight grandchildren, Cody Veach,
Kyle Veach (Amy), Stephen Veach, Jonathan Veach, Janna Carmon (Daniel),
Rebecca Veach, Emily Veach and A.J. Veach; a step granddaughter, Laura
McBride; great-grandson, Nolan Veach; a step great-grandson, Dylan McBride;
two brothers, Marshall Veach and Basil Veach, both of Hancock County; a
sister, Ina Bell Cooper of Hancock County; and nieces and nephews.

Services were Tuesday, July 22, at Gibson & Son Funeral Home. Burial was in
Boling Chapel Cemetery. The family request any donations be made to Hospice
or Boling Chapel Cemetery Fund.
